Weekend ramblings

Sitting feeling pleasantly sloshed, about to get on with some work, but I thought I’d come on here first. The end of another weekend and on to yet another busy week, life just seems too busy right now, like that old Chinese curse goes and all that ‘may you lead an interesting life’.

As I mentioned, I’m meant to be working right now; not writing (or reading) unfortunately, well at least not the fun kind. I think I’ve probably mentioned this before but one of my little businesses is that I’m a private science tutor, I don’t work between June and September, there’s no need for me and not much need for me between October and December either but when Mr. Lacer is around to babysit I can be quite busy between January and June. Anyway an old client has retained my services for this academic year, so I’m meant to be preparing new materials for him as I’m seeing him tomorrow night. I’m a science tutor and the GCSE syllabus has changed quite considerably this year, for the worse in my opinion, so it’s a little bit of a frustrating challenge crafting my current materials round this new syllabus, there are things that I used to teach, basic, fundamental things (specially for anyone wishing to continue their learning in science) that I’m not sure looking at the syllabus that I need to teach any more.

Other than that, I’ve been doing lots of reading for Susan Hill’s creative writing course (David Copperfield) and would rather be doing that right now (or curled up on the sofa with Mr. Lacer watching Elektra). Participating in either through an alcoholic fog sounds quite fun. But no, physics calls.
