Wow, another good episode. Gwen is about to get married but gets impregnated by a shape shifting zombie like alien, not realising she goes on her hen night and then wakes up on the day of her wedding nearly full term pregnant. Still determined to go ahead of the wedding, the team think it’d probably be ok, so it goes ahead, however Gwen’s just the carrier of the baby and it’s mother is at the wedding to act as, to quote “the midwife from hell” and all hell does indeed break out.
Funny, scary and touching in places, this episode shows even more how the Torchwood team and Rhys (who I never liked in series 1) are really gelling well. With hints of the still present unrequited love between Jack and Gwen, which in one scene Rhys could not fail to notice plus the slowly blossoming relationship between Owen and Tosh, it leaves lots of promise for more good episodes to come.
