Bring back Iggle Piggle!
2008 March 30
My kids were difficult to put to bed tonight, okay I know a lot of it was to do with daylight savings, as far as they were concerned it was 6pm, not 7 but a little friendly assistance from Iggle Piggle (above) would have helped. For as probably as long as they can remember, In the Night Garden has been just before the bedtime story in the CBeebies bedtime hour and as a show with some very cute characters and an emphasis on basically going to sleep it was perfect, but now they’ve gone and replaced it was 64 Zoo Lane which is as old as the hills and well (although this is probably a good thing) my kids will wonder off and play instead. Ok, I know they couldn’t have had In the Night Garden in that slot forever but removing it just as the clocks are about to change, that is asking for trouble. I predict a lot of rebellious pre-schoolers in their beds tonight.

i LOVE IGGLE PIGGLE AND IN THE NIGHT GARDEN TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am 16 and I love Iggle Piggle ahaha!!!
I used to watch in the night garden at the age of 15 before I went to school when I was straightening my hair and then they stopped it
I know my little story is so weird and sad for a 16 year old to watch in the night garden but I though I would share it with you anyway aha x
Don’t worry, I’m a 34 who watches In the Night Garden, not just because my kids watch it, lol. I think it has a certain very appealing charm.
Aha I agree with the charm thing – no doubt when I am 80 I will be sitting in a little rocking chair swaying from side to side shouting IGGLE PIGGLE! Until my nurse turns it on for me! Lol x
This is awful! how could they take it away!
I live in Australia and ABC have done the same!
Shame on them
Ahh Iggle Piggle and co are back now but aren’t last thing before bed time, instead just before bedtime they have a new show which is just as watchable (for adults lol), Big and Small, a puppet show voiced almost exclusively by Lenny Henry, it’s brilliant. Sigh, my kids are bringing me down to their level, for a picture check out the link below http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/images/big_and_small_resized_150_tcm19-1686638.JPG
I am 10 years old and i have just had my little brother who is 1 and a half years old sat next to me and i typed in Iggle Piggle! And i clicked on this link. Right now while i am typing and looking at other peoples comments, my little brother is wondering around the Living room! All he wants too see is the programme and the pictures!! Bless him, anyway i understand why you all love In the night garden, it really glues you to the television screen! And most off all while my little brother is watching it he goes to sleep!! YAY!!
