Mr. Lacer was back properly at work today and me and the kids had a stay at home day and it was perfect weather for it, bright blue sky putting me in the mood for housework and the kids in the mood for playing in the garden (well I say kids, I mean Girl Lacer, Boy Lacer spent most of the day on the computer, honestly he’s only 2 1/2 but we’re going to have to get some net nanny software, as although we’ve set up the computer so he can easily get on the CBeebies website, he can now from there somehow navigate onto Youtube!, I caught him just about to watch a video entitled ‘Not for kids, seriously’, he had a major paddy when I kicked him off that).
The housework was very much needed, thanks to the sunny weather I got 4 loads of washing done (the drying is still going on though as I type) and I can now see the floor (sort of) in mine and the kids bedrooms. And as for the green sand? Girl Lacer wanted to play in the sandpit for the first time this year, we peeled back the tarpaulin and the sand was literally green, must have been algae, so I had to dust down the hose (not used for the last two years), was very surprised when I actually got it to fit our kitchen tap and sprayed down the sandpit, which I think Girl Lacer thought was more fun than actually playing with it. Will have to buy some more sand tomorrow (well I’ve promised), not looking forward to carrying that home.
PS Pee’d off about the missing Pushing Daisies episode on ITV, although it is quite funny how it’s the BBC pointing it out in their news coverage, were they outbid or something? Although seriously, you know if BBC or Channel 4 were showing it and they had trouble fitting in all the episodes of a series they would just show a double bill one week wouldn’t they? Couldn’t be too hard to schedule?
