Must think of slightly more original post titles.
Another rainy day here (and must stop being so British and stop talking about the weather) and we’re not doing much. Girl Lacer, after getting a sticker at nursery yesterday for ‘being good at tidying up’, which at the time made me wish she did more of that at home, has got it into her head that she’s going to help me with housework today, a case of be careful what you wish for, as everything is now taking twice as long. She’s now at nursery and Boy Lacer is sitting quietly at the computer feeding the Tweenies two sausages each by the looks of things and all is peaceful and quiet. I’ve just got myself another book selling event lined up, please, please may it not rain this time (!), so I’ve been sorting stuff out for that and I suspect when Girl Lacer gets back home it’ll either be her nagging me to do more (much needed) housework or she’ll be stuck, head buried in her colouring book again. Until quite recently her idea of ‘colouring in’ was taking a single colour and scribbling all over the picture but something must have clicked (I think in John Lewis where she was at one of their colouring in tables recently and she saw some older children colouring in properly) and she now does the most beautiful colouring in. She gets me and Mr. Lacer to help sometimes and you know what, it’s quite soothing. This is one of her most recent ones and no help from mummy or daddy at all with this one.
PS For anyone who’s interested, there’s a post and photo on how my aubergines are doing, just up on my photoblog here.
