Burn Up

I watched the first part of BBC 2′s new enviro-drama ‘Burn Up’ last night and I was impressed. Starring the delectable Rupert Penry Jones as the so nice you wonder how he got the job chairman of an oil company and that bloke from Hustle who is really good at playing a slimy political weasel.

Gripping, not overly, stupidly melodramatic (like the recent fluffy but fun Flood on ITV with Robert Carlyle) and raising some interesting points. Makes you almost glad that oil prices are now so high that we have to cut down on our oil consumption as the consequences sound far worse.

So if you’ve missed the first episode and you’re in the UK, I’m sure it’ll be on BBC iPlayer for a while, it’s definitely worth a watch.
