Saturday

At last a weekend when we’re not doing anything, at least today anyway, I have a very exhausting appointment tomorrow evening, but today was a day for housework. I was hit with the brain wave this morning that the answer to my perpetual wardrobe dilemma (in that all my clothes are in front of the wardrobe and not in it) would be to put the linen in my section of the wardrobe (which is all shelves) and to put my T-shirts and jumpers in the two drawers that had previously contained the linen. We now have enough space to store the linen and I can get at my T-shirts etc. without pulling everything out first :) So hopefully that will help.

Mr. Lacer cleared out one of the kitchen cupboards for me, we used it to store my old food processor which I kid you not was still in the wrappings I had wrapped it in when we moved here four years ago (it’s too big to fit on my counter permanently and too much of a pain to constantly reassemble everytime I wanted to use it, so instead I use my small hand held food processor instead, which takes up far less space). So we sadly got rid of it (it was a good food processor and one of the last ‘big presents’ Mr. Lacer got me back in the days when we had money). I ‘let’ Mr. Lacer clear out this particular cupboard as I had noticed last time I opened it evidence of little furry visitors which I am rather allergic to (and he isn’t), mice. So he cleared out the cupboard, mouse droppings everywhere and to cap it all off a mouse nest, in one of the cylinders from the food processor and you know what they used as their bedding? Shredded up Ocado bag, now I know Ocado are proud of how green their bags are but that takes the biscuit!

Finally I begrudgingly let Girl Lacer play with my new grown up stamps, here’s one of her rather lovely effort

and this is one of mine.
