Happy New Year!
May not be able to type as my fingers are still defrosting, just back from a New Year’s Day walk to Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. As usual in Isabella Plantation, we let the kids lead the way, as long as it’s not head first into water (typing one handed at the moment, my right hand seems to have defrosted first), so it turned out to be quite a short, circular walk, once all bridges and waterfalls (or waterforms, as Girl Lacer kept on calling them) had been checked to complete satisfaction.

Other than that not doing anything much at all, particularly of the exciting variety. Yesterday was tidying my bedroom (I sound like a teenager), I chucked away literally a bin bag full of clothes and I now have as many clothes as my clothes hating husband, which sort of feels an afront to being female but our wardrobe is not massive and is needed to store not just clothes (oh for an attic), so I had to get rid of the clothes that I wasn’t wearing all the time.
New Year’s Eve night was spent in early middle age, eating a not very nice ready meal (that will teach me to be lazy) and watching National Treasure (which was rather good) and a Wallace and Gromit, both of which were on the DVR. Available alcohol was a bottle of Sainsbury’s mulled wine, which oh my goodness was disgusting (that will also teach me) and when we decided that was undrinkable, a bottle of the champagne we keep on getting given but never drink. So goes my exciting life (actually, when I was younger, I hated feeling like I ‘had’ to go clubbing, so it’s a relief really).
