Pass it on . . .

The lovely 5currantbuns overs at Appetite for Cake is setting up a crafty pass it on, I’d recommend reading the post over there for the full details but I’ve signed up, so something lovely will be coming to me in the post on condition that I offer my services to three commentors on my blog. So sign up in my comments below and I will make you something (ooh that almost sounds like a threat!), my knitting is no way near presentable to anyone outside my family at the moment (and I can only make scarves and I’ll scream if I knit another scarf!) but I’ll happily sew something. So sign up! There is a condition . . . people signing up need to promise to keep the pass it on chain going, either through your blog (if you’ve got one) or through your friends, offer your services to three other people, I don’t think it necessarily has to be crafty, whatever you’re good at!

So details in the comments box below and I’ll e-mail you for your address. Oh and I don’t mind posting internationally.

Butterfly ATCs / Photo ATCs / Sakura ATCs

I sent off some more ATCs today. The first up was two ATCs for a newbie swap on the theme of butterflies, I thought I’d try out an idea I’d had for a while, butterflies made out of buttons. What I like about ATCs is the speed at which you can try ideas out and I made the butterflies in the space of about an hour whilst chatting to Mr. Lacer and whilst I was making them I was thinking “Mmm these are going to look a bit naff”, but once I finished I was quite pleased with the effect. I think button butterflies are going to appear on a few more of my things! (And I’ve actually just joined another swop with the theme of spiders, which guess what – will also be made of buttons, I’m going to stretch the insects made of buttons thing to the limit!)

Then it was a couple of photo themed ATCs, well the snow photos were for a specific photo ATC and I decided to use the snow photos I took back in February (quite apt, I’ve sent them to Hawaii). The second ATC was under the theme of sakura (cherry blossom) and I imagine most people in the swop have drawn or collaged something but I happened to have two cherry blossom photos I’m really proud of (including the cherry blossom photo currently in my header of my blog), so I’ve sent those.
