It turned out it was my last tuition session tonight, I had thought there would be a couple more. Feels quite odd, not that my tuition work ever earned that much money (although in 2006 – 2007 I was doing quite well), as the old saying goes, every penny counts. Not that I ever earn any tuition money over the summer, my student that I had tonight has been with me for the last three years, so has almost verged on a steady income!
Finding extra tuition work this year has been particularly hard, which I guess is the recession and I will have to be even more proactive about finding clients next autumn. I also think I need to be more proactive about finding other sources of income, although with tutoring gone, at least I’ll have more time for that!
