It was Girl Lacer’s first ever ballet exam today, it was during school time and even though she wasn’t going to school until after the exam, we still had to stop by the school gates as I needed to organise some last day of term stuff, so Girl Lacer got some surprised looks to see her there in her pink ballet uniform!
For the exam she needed her hair in a bun, luckily there was someone there on hand to do the hair because I am useless at it! Girl Lacer has gorgeous hair, one of those rare shades of blonde that you normally only get out of a bottle but it’s also very fine and therefore impossible to get into any sort of hairdo but thanks to expert hands and three tons of hairspray and hair gel, she had a proper little ballerina bun and looked so grown up!
She did well in the exam, remembered all her moves apparently. She got ‘competent’ in all bar two categories, where she got ‘progressing’.
After we dropped Girl Lacer off at school, where I predict she’ll get a lot of fuss about her hair she looks so different, me and Boy Lacer went onto the pottery cafe to do some more painting, this is what we picked up from last time.
