Summer fete
I have that odd feeling now, you know that feeling you get where you’ve been working hard up to something and then it happens and it all goes well and you think afterwards “Well what do I do now?”, well of course actually I have quite a lot to do still but it’s a case of moving on from one project to one of the other things that had been semi-neglected whilst I’d been working on this; like the novel, the Etsy shop, Boy Lacer’s wardrobe.
Anyway the fair went really well and we sold pretty much everything (ok, I took pity on a few last remaining bits and bought them). The craft stall banner went up and stayed up (despite it being very windy).
The underwear bags sold relatively quickly, well three out of four did, both knickers bags going first and then one of the sock bags, I ended up buying the remaining sock bag. I also ended up buying four lavender bags (it was meant to be three but there was one lavender bag left at the end of the day, the sole plain purple one, so I bought that to) and so as not to inflict it on anyone else I bought one of my decoupage pots. Decoupage is not a hobby I’ll be taking up any time soon.
I also ended up buying (not shown in picture) a very cute set of handmade soaps made by friend E, I had no idea she was a soap maker, she is a woman of many surprises, I will be bending her ear if my plan to make soap as Christmas presents this year fails to work!
