Quick Lemon and Raspberry Cheesecake

(Sorry for no photo, beg and borrow camera number 1 has run out of batteries and beg and borrow camera number 2 has disappeared somewhere only known to Girl Lacer)

I made the Quick Lemon and Raspberry Cheesecake from Jamie’s 30 Minutes Meals tonight and it was rather yummy, it was a little faffy though, goodness knows how long it would have taken me if I had attempted the whole meal. You can find the recipe for the whole meal here. I liked it, Mr. Lacer quite liked it (he’s not a big dessert fan), Girl Lacer didn’t like it because of the cream cheese and Boy Lacer shoved great big spoonfuls into his mouth in between yumming noises.

Definitely something I’d think about making again, specially if I was in a position to make them in advance when time wasn’t such an issue.

Iridescent

When I was lucky enough to see Linkin Park play this week and they played my favourite song from A Thousand Suns, Iridescent, it literally brought tears to my eyes.

The embroidered words are from Iridescent

‘You felt the gravity of tempered grace,
Falling into empty space,
With no one there to catch you in their arms,’

I really like this piece but as I photographed it (badly – I still having to beg and borrow cameras from people as I have yet to replace my lost camera), it got mercilessly torn to pieces (metaphorically) by my in house critic Girl Lacer, “It’s a bit creased” (it’s meant to be, to give a feeling of the girl falling through space) and pointing to the girl “What’s that?”, I tell her, she replies “I could draw better than that”, huh (and actually although I wish the drawing had been better, I don’t think she quite appreciated the effect I had in mind). I should stop listening to 7 year old art critics.
