Night trip London

I wasn’t working today and Girl Lacer didn’t have dance, so we made the most of it and had a family trip into Central London. Boy Lacer has recently done the Egyptians at school and so we thought we’d take him to see some mummies at The British Museum.

On the way there we saw a pedal powered snow globe with a christmas tree in it, on the Southbank and a mass rally of noisy Father Christmases.

Once inside we got our Egyptian dose plus a few other galleries on the way through.

We had timed the trip, going in later than we normally would, so that by the time we would leave the museum it would be getting dark, so we could see the Christmas lights on the way home.DSCF4123 DSCF4124 DSCF4125 DSCF4127

(First two – Covent Garden, the latter being a lego snow globe. Second two – view from Hungerford Bridge)

  1. What a wonderful day you had. My daughter lives in Upper Walthamstow and I have wandered around some of London, brings back lovely memories. One day I negotiated all the trains and walked to the Museum, on the way wondering why the place wasn’t busy – well what a surprize when I arrived at the gate – big sign – Closed for Bank Holiday. Maybe one day I will get there. As I was out I decided to have a look at St Pauls. Have a lovely Christmas. Valda in Australia
