I’ve been craving red lentils recently, so I made ‘braised lentils in a rich tomato and preserved lemon sauce’ from My Petite Kitchen Cookbook by Eleanor Ozich. It was ok, perfectly edible but I think I was let down by the use of the words ‘rich’ and ‘deeply tasty’ in the recipe description because it wasn’t really. I think what it could really have done with was some bacon….
