Cold Granite

Cold Granite (Logan McRae, #1)Cold Granite by Stuart MacBride

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading the Ash Henderson books, I was bereft enough that there were currently no more, to move onto MacBride’s earlier Logan McRae series, which is set in the very cold and wet Aberdeen. Cold Granite is the first book in the series and it introduces McRae as an injured DC newly back at work just in time for a series of child abductions and murders. It was good, it’s not quite as laugh out loud funny as the Ash Henderson books and the relationships between the main characters not quite as good but it’s still pretty good and it’s the first book in a long series, so I suspect the interplay between the main characters will only get better.
