Prayer for the Dead

Prayer for the Dead (Inspector McLean, #5)Prayer for the Dead by James Oswald
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this one there is a series of mysterious murders and the detectives are struggling to find a motive or a link. We see things from the bad guy’s perspective for some of the chapters and the narration and sound effects (I listened to this as an audiobook) were extremely creepy.

There’s also a subplot involving some building developers and some questions arise about Madam Rose.

This is the latest book to be published, so I’m going to have to wait now to find out the answers to those questions and to also catch up on Emma’s (McLean’s on – off girlfriend) progress. I’d love to know if Oswald will publish a separate book telling of Emma’s adventure.
